Can I use Modero to collect overdue maintenance fees?
Yes, you can. If your former partner does not pay alimony, Modero can help to collect these amounts in court. The condition is, however, that there is a verdict or a notarial deed exists where the payment obligation is established.
Please note that this procedure is not free of charge (laid down by law). In principle, the costs are recovered from the debtor, but if your former partner incapacitated turns out, you may have to bear (part of) the costs.
That's why we're looking at always in advance together with you whether a procedure is feasible and useful: do the expected benefits outweigh the costs, and which process best suits your situation? Only then do we decide whether to start recovery.
